We wanted to share an early heads-up on our plans to migrate from the Curated Module to CMv2.
We now have a much clearer picture of the overall process, and the first migrations on Hoodi are expected to start in the second week of April. To help you prepare, we’ll be sharing a migration guide next week, so you can familiarize yourselves with the flow and requirements ahead of time.
As expected, migrations are complex and operationally costly for the protocol, so we’ll be relying on your cooperation and prompt responses as we move forward.
Guidelines around CMv2 features are still being finalized and should be shared soon. That said, you’ll have ample opportunity to get familiar with both these features and our consolidations interface well ahead of mainnet.
On timing: mainnet is currently expected in Q2 2026. Given the entry queue dynamics, we believe it’s wise to seed all new validators during the initial release to help accelerate the migration. Even with that, we estimate the full migration to take approximately ~6 months.
A few additional points to note:
For now, to help us prepare, we only ask that you:
Finally, we are currently evaluating the Lido Hoodi instance’s suitability for the full migration process. Some NOs may be asked to perform certain actions there as part of the preparation (e.g. adding more keys), we’ll reach out directly if that applies to you. Additionally, we will be demoing the new interfaces on a call before the testing which will be scheduled in the coming weeks.
More details coming very soon. Thanks in advance for your collaboration!
